Planning Committee Introduction
The Parish Council Planning Committee considers applications in its area at its meetings, and makes representations to South Cambridgeshire District Council.
The Parish Council is not the Local Planning Authority, and has no powers to determine planning applications. These are decided by South Cambridgeshire District Council, and you can find out more on the SCDC website. However, they can consult the Parish Council on applications in Orwell. As well as being able to raise any issues with the Parish Council, we strongly recommend that anyone wishing to support or oppose an application does so directly to South Cambridgeshire District Council.
